40 days of gratitude, day 24

On this twenty-fourth day of Lent, I am grateful for:

• something laughable to wake up to–my dog howling at the alarm clock!
• warm toes
• motivated students
• a surprise, last-minute visit from a dear Wheaton friend
• Waldo pizza
• planting seedlings in the garden, and seeing little sprouts and buds coming out
• dirty hands
• travel shows that make me want to buy a ticket somewhere beautiful
• the beauty of creatures like giraffes, elephants, cheetahs, and hippos
• thoughtful roomies who read my mind and bring me Culver’s custard
• laughter
• a fun day ahead tomorrow
